Thanksgiving Day Baskets

posted Nov 2, 2017, 10:59 AM by Chapman Hill

Soon your child will bring home a slip of paper with a food item on it to bring to school.  That item will join others in their class to help create a basket of food items that can help a neighborhood family with their Thanksgiving meal.  There will also be a few food items to round out the week that kids are home when we conference and have the Thanksgiving holiday!  We do this project in partnership with Salem Electric, Roth's and others in our neighborhood (they provide the perishable items).  So when you are on the next shopping trip, if you could add that item to the list, it would help the classroom put together their basket. Please only send that item as we are trying to make all the baskets the same.  If you would like to do more to help the 16 families, please contact me, or the school office, and we can accept cash or other ideas to help with filling out the baskets.  Your help is greatly appreciated.
